I provide a range of services to support individuals, families, communities and organizations with end-of-life needs.

Facilitating End of Life Conversations

Sometimes it can be hard to begin a much-needed conversation about our own death or death within our community. I help to organize and facilitate these conversations, whether it is with individuals, families, communities, or organizations.

Death & Dying Companionship

When we receive a terminal diagnosis, we may feel overwhelmed by feelings and choices that need to be made, as well as a shift in perspective that can come with approaching the end of life. It can be difficult to know which choices are best for us and how to advocate for our own needs within medical systems, hospice, family, and community.

As a trained and experienced Death & Dying Companion, I help you to identify the practical, emotional and spiritual choices that align most with who you are and what you value when faced with the end of life. I serve as a companion and advocate for your choices before, during, and after death.

Practical Support

I offer practical support to individuals, families and their communities during and after death, including managing medical equipment, coordinating care with healthcare providers, and organizing personal belongings. I help you to prepare necessary paperwork, make schedules for care teams and communicate choices with family and community.

Emotional & Spiritual Support

I offer emotional support to individuals, families and their communities during the dying process and after death. This can include weekly conversations, providing resources for grief, witnessing and helping to organize legacy projects. We can explore spiritual questions about end-of-life as well. I honor and respect your chosen faith or religion, if any, and am non-dogmatic in my approach.

Rituals and Ceremonies

I can help plan and facilitate rituals and ceremonies to honor the life of the one who has died. This may include creating a memorial or tribute, leading a funeral or memorial service, or facilitating a gathering or celebration of life. I have experience with community-led or home funerals and burials in Maine. I support you in choosing any kind of funeral you wish, including those in a funeral home, community-led funerals or no funeral at all.
